Recreational Dance Program

Stepping Out to Independence is a therapeutic dance/movement program for individuals with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities. Instructors and qualified volunteer dance partners work with consumers in a dance studio studying forms of classical and contemporary dance styles. These sessions are provided in a safe, non-threatening environment for individuals to grow and develop their personal potential. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of movement and the technical form of the dance style.

To qualify, you need to be OPWDD eligible, at least 12 years old, live with a family, and like to dance! This NO COST person-centered dance program is a great way to socialize, exercise, and just have a whole lot of fun with friends.
